FUBAR: THE DEVIL’S DANCE FLOOR FCBD AND KICKSTARTER

I wanted to let you all know that we just launched a small FUBAR Kickstarter. We’ve teamed up with our brothers in arms 215 INK to produce two original comics that we intend to use to throw a little Indie shine down on Free Comic Book Day this year.

We’re seeking funds to get the books printed and shipped to as many shops as we can by May 5th. Like I said it’s a modest campaign, we’re asking for $1200 to that end.

FUBAR’s contribution to this event is an original 28 page story titled FUBAR: The Devil’s Dance Floor. The Devil’s Dance floor is a 28-page stand alone World War II story about the remnants of the British 6th Army in North Africa’s last stand against zombie Erwin Rommel’s Undead Afrika Korp. Down to the very last bullets, bombs and bayonets these battle hardened Brits are out to prove that he who dares, Wins.
Cover by Steve Becker and story and art by me.

CAPTAIN AMERICA COLLABORATION (process)

This was a first for me. For the first time I inked someone elses pencils. A good friend and fellow sequential killustrator, Jim McMunn provided an excellent composition and pencils for this Captain America piece. I provided inks and I colored it. I highly recommend to all sequential artists who haven’t inked someone elses pencils to do so. I learned quite a bit just by inking this one piece. Jim and I have talked about collabing on a few more pieces for the upcoming con season! I’ve included Jim’s pencils and my subsequent steps so you folks can see the process that went into this piece.

This piece was done for Comic Geek Speak’s spring con in reading: The CGS Super Show in Reading Pennsylvania. CGS will be using the piece on their postcards to promote the show. FUBAR will be in attendance along with a ton of other true believers so be sure to mark down April 30 and May 1st on your calenders.
