The Red Viper vs. The Mountain page 1 of 3
November 30, 2011
I asked the Game of Thrones community over at reddit.com to vote on what character they would like to see illustrated. The overwhelming response wasn’t a character but a scene: Prince Oberyn Martell vs. Ser Gregor Clegane. The Red Viper vs. The Mountain. What I’ve got here is probably one of three pages I see for this scene. A Storm of Swords, the third novel in GRRM’s opus A Song of Ice and Fire is so far my favorite. George has me digging fantasy for the first time. This page is spoiler light, but the next one won’t be. Stay tuned!

Nice job! I like your style. It will be handy for future Mountain illustrations. Try the Dunk and Egg trilogy out when you finish ASOIAF.
you should really do the other two pages, I want to see the rest of the fight
This looks really great. Nice job so far! Can’t wait to see the rest.
really nice; however I will perhaps put a more dark color in the background to really do the transition with the caracters themselves.
Elsewhere, really nice job.
Wow! That’s very impressive!
P.S. I love your description about yourself: “Just an old fashioned love song”. Very clever!
everyone should read the malazan book of the fallen instead of the song of ice and fire.
I am amazed by people (like you) who can draw … I am a writer by profession, thus my art is through words … yet I have ZERO talent with pix and illustrations!
Fun post…
Very nice work with good perspective and layout.
Excelent drawnings. Nanquim, isn´t?
Awesome, can’t wait to see it finished.
nice compositions
Love love love it!
I made a Game of Thrones flowchart awhile back, I should have had you illustrate it!

This is wonderfully done
That fight was so hardcore. Can’t wait to see it on HBO, but this is doing a good job tiding me over!
Reblogged this on The Fischer Account and commented:
It’s funny how I would have more confidence in a fan-made comic book of this series than one done by a pro comic book company.
Yeah. Maybe Darwin Cooke could do it justice.
Dude I like your style kinda reminds me off Trigun or The old MTV oddities cartoons.
Now I have no excuse NOT to read the books. Nice style and drawings.
my kids love u…me? just like
I’m an aspireing illistrator myself and
have heard of these books. This scene
strikes me as funney. I may have to check
it out. Do you write any stories of your own?
A serial here would be worth a read – I have
a small Novel posted as well as some short
fictions and would like feedback.
Here is a link to my flashfiction on the
merits of Zombies in the workplace.

You style is interesting, I will mark this and
try to check out more of your posts.
Artists never cease to amaze me! If only I could manage a straight line…
I want to know what happens next!
I have such a love-hate relationship with this scene. The Red Viper of Dorne was such a badass character.
Hallo,
nice work!
This is awesome! My favorite scene in the book.
Cool. I’d like to get into the Game of Thrones novels. I hear good things about them.

i am almost embarrassed to admit just how obsessed i’ve become with game of thrones over the last couple months. i’m feast for crows right now–but shut up, i can quit anytime i want!
It’s my favorite scene in the series, great work! Are you gonna post the other 2 parts anytime soon?
Where’s the rest of the comics ?.
Why was this never finished?
Please finish this! I really love your Tower of Joy comic, and I’d LOVE to see the work you do on your continuation of this sequence. It’s such a great scene in the books and your style really is a wonderful match for this series!
Please, finish this! It’s amazing!
FINISH THIS PREASE!
This is insanely good. You are extremely talented!
